The LHS Mighty Lion Marching Band was awarded Grand Champion at the 2007 Louisiana Showcase of Marching Bands. The Band was also named Champion in the AAAA and Large Class.

Other awards received were Most Outstanding Percussion, Most Outstanding Colorguard and Most Outstanding Soloist - Large Class.

Congratulations on the journey you have embarked upon throughout this extraordinary year! The experience has truly been "greater than" we could have imagined!

A photo album of the band's recent trip to the Houston BOA Regional Championships has been uploaded.

The LHS Mighty Lion Marching band competed in the 2007 BOA Regional Championships in Houston on October 6th. The band placed sixth in a field of 28 bands! The performances were wonderful and the students all performed admirably. Congratulations to all the students and staff for another great BOA performance!

2007 LHS Mighty Lion band camp has come to a successful conclusion. Big thanks to all the students, parents, boosters, and staff which helped to make this Band Camp very memorable.
