Howard Desselle, Director pf Percussion


Howard Desselle IV is the Director of Percussion at Lafayette High School where he began teaching in 2010.  He received both his Bachelor of Music Education (2008) and Master of Music (2010) from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA.

Mr. Desselle has taught and arranged music for drumlines across the states of Louisiana and Texas.  He performed with the Natchitoches/Northwestern Symphony Orchestra, and the Acadiana Wind Symphony.  His professional affiliations include Percussive Arts Society, Texas Music Educators Association, MENC, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.  A 2010 nominee for the Lafayette Education Foundation Teacher of the Year, Desselle is also an Educational Artist Endorser for Innovative Percussion.
